This restaurant was recommended by a friend and OMG, were they right? Yes!

I went there mid week without booking, little I knew it’s super popular. Luckily, we got a table between other bookings.

I had high expectations and these were exceeded.

Prices are so reasonable and probably cheap for the portions. Quality price is unmatched!

Gutted I didn’t have time for the dessert!

Book a table before visiting.

Generous portions and lovely service. I’d recommended the course that includes everything pp. You will leave very full! Immediately was asked if there were any dietary restrictions and I informed them I was dairy free. They accommodated to every course we had by making sure I was served allergy friendly plates while my friend received the regular plates at the same time. Tasty food and cute atmosphere. Thank you

Fabulous Peckham institution serving various Middle Eastern inspired dishes: all of which are vegetarian (several dishes can be made vegan).

Despite being a born and bred Peckhamite, I had never visited Persepolis until recently. I knew the shop had been there for quite some time, and the restaurant had gradually expanded over the years. It was always on my radar, but I’d never gotten around to visiting until now - better late than never I suppose!

You enter via the shop entrance and wait to be seated. They’ve utilised the space well, and although it’s compact you don’t feel overcrowded. I loved the colourful decor, and although the seating is basic it’s very comfortable.

The staff were lovely - very welcoming, and they kindly took the time to explain the menu to me. I decided to have the Falafel Flatbread, along with the Date & Cardamom Latte.

Service was pretty quick, and I thoroughly enjoyed everything I ordered. The flatbread was massive and packed with deliciousness! Combined with the accompanying chips and side salad it really was excellent value for money - but far too big for me to finish. Though the staff did offer to put any leftovers in a doggie bag for me to take home.

I shall definitely return to try more of the menu.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have visited Iran and my greatest regret of my time there is not having been able to experience its vegan cuisine. I was only vegetarian at the time and we were working long hours, so to now go beyond the ‘grab and go‘ and to savour a real experience was luscious.

The dips and the aromatic rice, the immaculate aubergine, the date- and cardamom-infused hot beverages were all wonderfully laid out as sharing platters.

Super tasty and although the place is vegetarian, the cheery knowledge of the vegan collections we fabulous.

Hidden away in south London’s Peckham, this treat is well worth venturing outside of Soho for.
