Good selection of goods at a reasonable price. I think the raisin cookies are some of the best.

Hormuz is an Iranian grocer - it's not Asian. So it's excellent if you're looking for Middle Eastern/Iranian foods, eg sumac, pomegranate molasses, rose water (for making Turkish delight). I always buy bunches of fresh mint and parsley there, and it's always very fresh and good value - much better than in a supermarket. I haven't found the staff to be unfriendly, but it's true that they're not exactly chatty! I like the way my mint is wrapped in a sheet of an Iranian newspaper - I can't read Farsi, but it feels exotic!

They sold me milk that was 3 days out of date. Whether they didn't check the fridge or knew it was out of date and sold it anyway, it's not a good sign. Otherwise the shop is ok to pick up some basics when other supermarkets are closed. Staff are ok but not that friendly
