Disappointed with the purchase. Paid a high price (£35) for a small cake that was mostly just cream with very little actual cake. Definitely not worth the cost , expected better quality for the price.
Having said that the manager had a good manner though.

Ordered a cake for my birthday this week, it was vanilla cream with berries on the top and in the layers. We were SO impressed by the quality and freshness of it. The cake was absolutely delicious, perfect sweetness and so light. You cannot find cakes like this easily. Thank you very much!

Carmella is a fantastic cake shop. My favourite choice for my daughter's birthday cake as it doesn't just look beautiful, but it tastes great and it is very light in the stomach too. Their best product is the Iranian gateau. These are incredibly tasty, I cannot recommend them enough. Also some super fresh sponge cakes that go really well with tea or coffee. The lovely owner of the shop always gives away some of those gems when I pop in. The parking on the main road can be a hassle sometimes, but it should be ok if you're not stopping for too long.

Disappointing.
It was so good two years ago but now it’s the second time in a row that I go and the pastries are in the same condition: STALE.
The cream has been absorbed by the sponge cake and made it pasty and hard. The cream at the top feels like play-doh as you can see in the video. And the fruit is old and tired. It’s saddening to see
